  PIGMENT RED 214 – Introduction and Application C.I. Pigment Red 214 Structure No. 200660. Molecular formula: COH22CI6N6O4. CAS number: [4068-31-3]   Color characterization Pigment Red 214 is bluish red pigment and the shade is brighter than Pigment Red 144. The tinting strength of this pigment is high. and the required concentration of pigment is only 0.56% when blending with 5% of titanium dioxide to achieve/3 SD in PVC, the required concentration of pigment is only 0.13% when blending with 1% of titanium dioxide to achieve 1/3 SD in HDPE.   Main properties  See Table 4. 134 ~ Table 4.136 and Figure 4.40. Pigment Yellow 147 11.25 parts of 2-phenyl-4, 6-diamino-1,3, 5-triazine, 30.6 parts of 1-chloroanthraquinone and 15.9 parts of sodium carbonate were added to 200 parts of nitrobenzene, and 1.65 parts of ketone iodide was added to 9 parts of pyridine. The solution was stirred at 150-155℃ for 12h.The filtrate was filtered at 100℃ and washed with nitrobenzene at 100℃ until the filtrate showed only slight color, then washed with ethanol, and finally washed with hot water to remove free alkali.
